In St. Albert, Alberta on Wednesday, a six year-old girl was riding a scooter when she stopped at the end of a driveway and lay down behind parked vehicle. RCMP think she may have been looking for something. Someone got into the vehicle, not realizing she was there, and backed over her. The driver stopped immediately; the girl was conscious when taken to hospital. She was released with no substantial injuries. RCMP are reminding people that children are out playing in the nice weather and may not be paying attention to their surroundings. Police are also reminding parents to teach their kids about being safe when outside.
