Saskatoon Police were advised of two men in separate incidents on Tuesday, possibly in possession of firearms. Around 9:45 in the morning, officers confronted a man in the area of Eastlake Avenue and 12th Street East. He was thought to be carrying what looked like two handguns. He was arrested and charged with being in Possession of Methamphetamine. Then, just after one that afternoon, officers stopped a man in the area of 22nd Street and Avenue K on a report that he was carrying a handgun. He was arrested for Public Intoxication after police believed he was under the influence of methamphetamine. Police say both men were carrying imitation firearms.
