Three Saskatchewan unions representing health providers have set up an online petition calling on the province to provide a wage top-up for the workers. SEIU-West President Barb Cape says health care workers are noticeably absent from provincial and federal government supplementary wage programs. She says the omission needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Together, SGEU, SEIU-West and CUPE represent about 30 thousand health care workers in Saskatchewan.
