La Ronge RCMP are conducting a homicide investigation the death of 29 year old Muhammad Venne. Just before four o’clock Wednesday morning, RCMP were called to a residence on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band about a disturbance. They found Venne outside the residence suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday in Saskatoon. Investigators are asking that anyone who was in contact with Venne, or who had seen him in the last week, to contact La Ronge RCMP, or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
