The June public offering of Crown petroleum and natural gas rights on Tuesday generated $442,125.39 for the province. Compare that to a year ago when there was $6 million in revenue from the sale, or the year before that when $15 million was raised. This is the second of six public offerings bringing the current 2020-21 fiscal year total to just over $2.1 million. Last year, the amount was about $8 million and in 2018 it was $18 million.
The majority of bid activity this year was in the Estevan area. The next scheduled public offering is set for August 11th.
