A Wednesday morning confrontation between Saskatoon Police and a group of people has resulted in two people being arrested and charged with one accused of pointing a firearm at an officer.
Police responded to an incident at a residence in the 400 block of Hilliard Street. When officers arrived, several people fled on foot. Following a short foot pursuit, one of the men allegedly pointed a firearm at an officer, who was able to take cover. With the help of additional officers, three people were taken into custody. A sawed-off rifle, ammunition and bear spray were seized.
A 15-year-old boy faces 16 charges, most related to possession of a firearm and ammunition. A 24-year-old man faces two charges for possession of bear spray.
