Saskatoon Police are reporting 93 grams of cocaine and over $20 thousand were seized in a traffic stop on Thursday, that lead to multiple search warrants being issued.
4 men are in custody after the Tactical Support Unit and Patrol were called to assist in a traffic stop at around 2:10 that afternoon, in the 500 block of Avenue W South. Officers say, they had observed activity consistent to drug trafficking in the area, and cocaine and cash was found in the vehicle.
The investigation lead to two search warrants being issued, one in the 100 block of Clancy drive where more cash, falsified documents, phones, scales, a loaded handgun, ammo and drug packaging were reportedly found. The second was in the 2700 block of 7th Street East where police say more cash and cocaine were located.
A 27 year-old man from Montreal faces 15 charges including trafficking cocaine, possession of forged documents and numerous firearms-related charges. He was also found to have outstanding warrants from the Ottawa Police Service. Two other men from Montreal, one 27 years old, the other 20 face numerous charges, including trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking and possession of crime over $5,000. A 42 year-old Saskatoon man is charged with possession of cocaine.
