Around 7:40 Wednesday morning, the Saskatoon Fire Department got a call that a middle-aged man had fallen off his bicycle and down the river embankment to the shoreline behind President’s Place, near Royal University Hospital. The Water Rescue Unit was called into action. The man was assessed, treated, and transported by water to an area beneath the Broadway Bridge where an ambulance was waiting to take him to hospital. His injuries were believed to be minor.
