Regina Police have charged two men after allegedly trying to intimidate witnesses and making death threats in the Thurston Mintuck homicide case. Between December and April, police say they became aware that two inmates of the Regina Provincial Correctional Centre were allegedly disguising their use of the phone systems at the Centre to avoid detection while threatening and intimidating witnesses. They were under court-ordered prohibitions from contacting the witnesses. 30 year old Timothy Mitchell Louison and 27 year old Nayo Pisim Fox, both of Regina, are charged with Intimidation of a Justice System Participant. Both are in court on the matter on Friday.
Last December, Regina Police charged the men with First Degree Murder in connection with the December 2017 death of 35 year old Thurston James Mintuck. On December 3rd of 2017, police came upon Mintuck on the 12 hundred block of Retallack Street. He was taken to hospital by EMS where he was pronounced dead.
