The Rotary Club of Saskatoon Nutana has had to cancel its major fundraiser of the year, Ribfest, which last year saw around 19-thousand people through its gates. President of the club, Candace Odishaw, says they have turned on their heels like all other charity and community organizations, to come up with something safer during the realities of COVID-19.
On June 21st, Fathers’ Day, the Rotary Club is hosting a city wide Scavenger Hunt by vehicle, where entrants can drive from clue to clue. Odishaw says each location will have letter visible from the road. Unscramble all 10 letters to find the final answer.
It’s not a race. When you’re done, you email your answer and entries are entered into the draws. The grand prize is a Traeger Tailgater Barbeque courtesy of Battleford Furniture. If the event is a success, there will be more scavenger hunts this summer.
