The Saskatchewan NDP wants what they call a “real plan” from the provincial government on guiding school re-opening in September. NDP leader Ryan Meili says, “Families and teachers all want our kids to return to school safely this fall, but they also want to see a real plan.” The opposition party wants to see a plan that contains dedicated funding, and contingencies for more than one scenario including: Low case transmissions; increased case transmissions that would trigger new public health orders, such as a reduction in class sizes to 15 students; and high caseloads which would require a return to learning from home for most students.
