Yet another business that finds itself struggling amidst the devastating economic impacts from COVID-19, is the Royal Canadian Legion.

In Saskatchewan alone, about a dozen branches are in financial trouble.

The most disheartening part is that branches in need do not qualify for any of the federal government’s economic stimulus programs announced in the past few months.

At the same time, Chad Wagner, the Provincial Executive Director of Saskatchewan’s Legions says they know an economic bounce back will help them eventually. He says as long as everyone focuses on shopping locally, our local economy will bounce back.
