Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park in the southwest and Pike Lake Provincial Park just southwest of Saskatoon will have their outdoor pools open in time for Canada Day.
The province says there are changes to the operating schedules so they can accommodate as many visitors as possible.
Each pool might have slightly different guidelines but some things to be aware of include reduced capacity in the pools. There will be a turnover system that allows for cleaning and disinfecting.
You can re-enter the line up to get back in. There will be no swimming lessons or programming, no lane swimming or special events which means longer public swim times.
Physical distancing rules are in place at all times and there are visual cues to help you. And swimmers are encouraged to enter the pool area in their swim clothes to avoid the change room areas.
Meanwhile, construction on the brand new pool at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park north of Moose Jaw is nearly complete and an opening date and operating hours for that pool should be available in the coming weeks.
