The City of Saskatoon’s Director of Planning and Development says the Official Community Plan, which was approved by Saskatoon City Council Monday night, acts as a connection point for the work of all City staff.
“The new OCP consolidates and entrenches the direction provided in over fifty civic plans and policies that City Council has approved over the last several years including: the Growth Plan to Half a Million, Saskatoon Speaks – Community Vision, City Centre Plan, Culture Plan, Active Transportation Plan, Green Infrastructure Strategy, Recreation and Parks Master Plan and the Heritage Plan.”
Anders says the latest revision brings the plan up to date with the current direction of the City and reflects the present, the vision for the future as well as how to achieve that vision.
The New Official Community Plan bylaw will be submitted to the Ministry of Government Relations to be approved.
