Southey RCMP say a car carrying five people down a grid road just east of Regina, lost control in an area closed for construction and rolled into the ditch.

A 51 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two 21 year old men suffered serious, life threatening injuries and were flown to Regina hospital by STARS.

Two other men, an 18 year old believed to be driving, as well as a 23 year old man, suffered non life threatening injuries. All five of the men were from Regina.

A Traffic Reconstructionist as well as the Coroner’s Service attended the scene and the RCMP says the investigation is ongoing.
