CN says it is investing $105 million in Saskatchewan to support growing demand and enable supply chains. The investment will focus on the replacement of rail and ties, maintenance of bridges, level crossings, culverts, signal systems, and other track infrastructure. CN says the improvements will create greater capacity, which supports reductions in customer transportation supply chain greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging the use of rail for long haul needs. One freight train can replace over 300 trucks on the roads.
