Regina Police fired a taser while on a domestic disturbance call Monday night around 11 o’clock. Police say they arrived on the 16 hundred block of Ottawa Street to find an aggressive and violent man armed with a machete. According to the release, the officers, fearing the possibility of death or grievous bodily harm, responded with the Conduced Energy Weapon and the man was safely taken into custody. 35 year old Lucan Tyler Dustyhorn is charged with Assault a Peace Officer with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon, and Failing to Comply with a Condition of an Undertaking. He is in court on Tuesday. The use of the taser will be reviewed by a Use of Force Committee and will also be reported to the Saskatchewan Police Commission.
