Saskatoon Police are advising drivers of a planned protest walk Friday afternoon through the city.
Organizers of “Walking with Our Angels” are demanding action as regards what it calls, the suicide crisis across the province. The walk, which began in northern Saskatchewan, will arrive at 2:00 p.m. at the Highways 11 and 12 junction. Police will provide an escort as the walk continues down Idylwyld Drive to Avenue A, 19th Street West, and the Sid Buckwold Bridge. The walk will then proceed to Circle Drive eastbound and south to Grasswood Road.
Motorists are advised to find alternate routes and expect delays as the group makes its way through the city. Anyone wishing to gather to watch is advised to do so along Avenue A and 19th Street West.
