The Saskatoon Inter-Agency Response Group will be the likely recipient of $117,000 towards COVID-19 response for the most vulnerable people.
The inter-agency response group is a newly formed group of 50 organizations, including community based organizations that are providing front line services during the pandemic.
Lynne Lacroix, General Manager of Community Service says their core work includes responding to critical incidents, gathering and sharing safety information, advocating and providing of support and procurement through financial assistance.
The funding is part of a $10 million contribution by the Community Response Fund from the Canadian Medical Association Foundation.
On Monday, the Governance and Priorities Committee passed recommendations to fund the Inter-Agency Response Group, unanimously, the recommendation will now go in front of City Council.
