The University of Saskatchewan’s VIDO-InterVac team is expanding as it engages in research and development against COVID-19. Infectious Disease expert Alyson Kelvin from Dalhousie University and the University of Manitoba’s Jason Kindrachuk have been seconded for a year to bring their expertise to the table. The scientists and members of their teams will work in VIDO’s containment Level 3 agriculture facility on antivirals, therapeutics, and testing of COVID-19 vaccine candidates while advancing their own research.
