There is going to be a very noisy rally in downtown Saskatoon Friday afternoon. Upwards of 200 people will be banging pots and pans as they march from 22nd Street and 5th Avenue to City Hall. The rally is to protest human rights violations in Ethiopia. The Oromo Canadian Community of Saskatoon wants the federal government to review its relations with Ethiopia in the interest of advancing human rights, political freedom, access to information and media freedom, as well as due process of the laws for prisoners, and the right to live. The march is to begin as 12:30 and end at two o’clock.
