The Serious Assault Unit is continuing to investigate a stabbing that took place last night after the victim was found at a motel in the 600 block of Idylwyld Drive North – the same block as the City Centre Inn and Suites – which is being closed.

At 12:15 a.m., Thursday, a 32 year old man was found with stab wounds and police say they located a makeshift knife on a bed in a nearby room. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
