A fire investigator with the Saskatoon Fire Department estimates the damage from a kitchen fire in the 400 block of 110th Street West on Friday morning at around $80-thousand.
The cause of the fire was an overheated appliance that had been plugged into the stove.
Around 11:40 that morning, a 911 call came in about a kitchen fire and the caller said it was extinguished with a garden hose.
Firefighters arrived to find the blaze partially extinguished and had it fully suppressed in about 15 minutes.
