Multiple 9-1-1 calls rolled in at 12:22 p.m. on Sunday about a closed, boarded up gas station that was on fire in the 300 block of Avenue W South.

Firefighters found flames coming from a boarded-up gas pump when they arrived. There was no threat of extension to nearby structures.

The fire was brought under control in about 5 minutes. No one was hurt. The fire investigator confirmed this fire to be incendiary, or arson, and estimates damage at $10,000.
