Zach Huber’s 20-year-old hockey season, whenever it is safe to start it, will not be spent with the Saskatoon Blades.
The Bridge City Bunch released the Grandora product Friday morning, leaving them with the fully-allowed W-H-L complement of three overage players per team for next season. Again, it remains to seen when and if that campaign is played. A gritty 5’11”, 197-pound right winger, Huber posted 15 goals amongst 23 points in 61 games last season for the Blue and Gold. His departure means that the Blades’ current group of 20s consists of forwards Chase Wouters, Martin Fasko-Rudas and Caiden Daley.
