The RCMP in Steinbach, Manitoba responded over the noon hour on Thursday to a bomb threat.
An anonymous 911 call stated there was a bomb in the washroom of the Steinbach Court Office.
Police evacuated the building and surrounding area with help from Manitoba Sheriffs’ officers and the Fire Department.
RCMP say a suspicious device was found in the men’s washroom and the Explosives Disposal Unit neutralized the device.
Upon further inspection, it was deemed to be a hoax device.
The incident remains under investigation.
