When the final four was announced for Kraft Hockeyville, Pense, Saskatchewan found themselves on the ballot for the grand prize.
The town of 500 people is the only candidate from western Canada, as they go up against towns from Quebec, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland in the final.
Pense Memorial Rink Board member Graeme Crosbie says the rink needs a new brine piping system and to re-level the ground underneath the ice.
if they win, they would be able to do that work in a year.
The final vote will take place August 14th, and the results will be announced the next day on Hockey Night in Canada.
