The Nutrien Fireworks Festival is being put off until February 13th and 14th leading up to Family Day on the 15th. It’s the latest casualty of COVID-19. Festival President Shad Ali says, “We recognize many will be disappointed about the date change. However, based on current information and consultation with our partners we believe this decision best supports our community’s discipline in controlling our exposure of COVID-19.” Normally, the festival is held on the Labor Day Weekend, bringing close to 65 thousand out. When it happens in February, people can expect fireworks, musical performances, as well as outdoor and indoor activities.
