Two homes were damaged in a fire around 2:30 Tuesday morning. The Saskatoon Fire Department was called out to the 500 block of Avenue G South. Crews arrived to find a fire burning between two houses. They were able to quickly get it under control. Both houses had exterior damage estimated to total $3,000. There were no injuries. The cause is under investigation.

A fire investigator has determined arson was the cause of a garage fire. Multiple 9-1-1 calls started coming in just after 11 Monday night about a blaze on the 800 block of 9th Avenue North. Fire crews arrived to find a detached garage with flames splitting the roof. They also had a downed power line to contend with. Saskatoon Light and Power came out to deal with the line. No one was hurt. Damage is pegged at $30,000.
