After having closed the southbound lanes of Highway 11 for several hours, traffic is once again flowing south of Saskatoon.

An accident around 10:30 this morning shut down the highway and Saskatoon RCMP are providing few details but do say that a pedestrian, a man, was killed after being hit by a southbound semi-trailer unit. The pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene.

The accident happened approximately one kilometre south of the Grasswood intersection, on the south edge of Saskatoon.
