The province’s August public offering of Crown petroleum and natural gas rights generated about $2.4 million dollars in revenue. During the same month a year ago, only $1.5 million was raised. The Estevan and Lloydminster areas were the focus of the bid activity in this round. The province notes that this was the highest public offering of the year so far. This was the third of six public offerings. Sales to date total about $4.6 million. Last year by this time, just over $9.5 million had been raised. The year before that, $25 million had been raised. The next offering will be October 6th.
