La Loche RCMP are on the hunt for 33 year old Colin Evan Lemaigre. Last Friday he was charged with being unlawfully at large. Between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, RCMP say several incidents took place in the La Loche area that have resulted in additional charges of Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Assault with a Weapon, and Driving While Prohibited. Police say Lemaigre has been actively evading them to avoid arrest. RCMP are asking for the public’s help in tracking Lemaigre down. Anyone with information is asked to contact La Loche RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Last December 21st, a Constable from the La Loche Detachment stopped a vehicle on Highway 155 south of La Loche. While the Constable was speaking with the driver and occupants of the car, the vehicle suddenly sped off. The Constable was dragged for 50 to 100m before coming free and falling to the roadway. He was injured, treated in hospital and released.
It was Lemaigre who was charged with Assaulting a Peace Officer with a Weapon along with several other charges in that incident.
