Southey RCMP responded to the scene of a fatal single vehicle rollover Saturday morning.
At approximately 5:35 a.m., Southey RCMP, EMS and STARS Air Ambulance responded to Piapot First Nation, and confirmed that the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle, a 22-year-old woman from Piapot First Nation, had died.
Police report the initial investigation indicates that the vehicle was travelling north on a gravel road when the vehicle lost control, resulting in a rollover. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle.
An examination of the scene was completed by a Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service. White Butte RCMP Police Dog Services surveyed the area to confirm there were no other victims at the scene of the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
