Saskatoon Police responded to a robbery and assault on Monday evening just before 8:30, in the 2100 block of 22nd Street West.
Officers found a woman suffering from a stab wound.
It was reported that a stranger assaulted the 24 year old and fled on foot with her purse.
She was transported to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
The male suspect had his hair in a ponytail and was wearing a blue jacket and shorts.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
