A First Nations company with a Saskatchewan connection has been awarded a contract by Ontario’s Bruce Power to refurbish its on-site training and mock-up facility.
Makwa-Tron began as 2 businesses – Makwa Development Corporation of Ontario and Tron, a construction company based on Saskatchewan’s English River First Nation.
They joined forces in 2018.
President and CEO of Tron Construction, Anthony Clark, says his staff has extensive experience working in Canada’s nuclear sector.
The partnership was formed to create a fully First Nation-owned venture in the nuclear industry.
