Running with Weapon
Shortly before midnight Wednesday officers responded to a weapons call with a twist. Police received a report that someone was seen running on the roof of a building in the 11-hundred block of Idylwyld Drive carrying a weapon described as a crowbar or pipe. Patrol officers tracked a suspect to the corner of 33rd Street and Idylwyld Drive North. They seized a broom handle with a knife taped to it, brass knuckles and Fentanyl. A 35 year old man is facing weapons and drug charges.
Weapons Bust
Saskatoon Police say five people were arrested this week in connection to a Guns and Gangs investigation. At 11:45 pm on Tuesday night, a search warrant was executed at a home in the 100 block of Avenue N South. Tactical Support and the Canine Unit were also on scene. Police seized a sawed off rifle, a pellet/BB rifle, a bulletproof vest and rounds of ammunition for five different types of firearms. A 26 year old woman and two men aged 31 and 56 are facing a variety of weapons charges. Two other females, aged 16 and 23, were arrested for breaching court conditions.
