Spiritwood RCMP say there is no 911 service in the area after a SaskTel building in Spiritwood caught fire. All local SaskTel services including phone, internet and cellular have been lost and it does affect 911.

The area without services is as follows, from Spiritwood:

– to the north up to Chitek Lake,
– to the south down to Rabbit Lake
– to the east to Debden
– to the west has yet to be determined.

Spiritwood RCMP say there is no way to reach 911 in the entire area and anyone who needs police services will have to drive to their local detachment. There is no estimate on when services may be restored.
