That from Education Minister Gord Wyant, who says that the back to school plans may be updated or refined as students and staff return to school, on the advice of Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer.
Wyant says the federal funding announced on Wednesday was a pleasant surprise.
Of the $2-billion, $74.9-million is earmarked for Saskatchewan
That funding will be added to the $40 million in new education funding already committed by the province. A second shipment of masks is set to leave the supplier today and will be delivered to school divisions during the first week of school. The first shipment has now been delivered to all 27 school divisions.
