One man has died after a two vehicle collision 5 km east of Indian head on Saturday.
At about 12:40 am, Indian Head RCMP were dispatched to a serious two vehicle collision on Highway 1. Indian Head Fire Department, Indian Head EMS, File Hills Police Service members and Fort Quappelle RCMP Detachment also attended to assist with the investigation and treatment of the involved individuals.
Police say the collision occurred when a semi truck and trailer collided with a minivan that was entering the highway. The 62 year old driver of the minivan, who was a resident of Carry the Kettle First Nation, was declared deceased at the scene. The two occupants of the semi unit were not injured.
With the assistance of an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and the Provincial Coroner Service, the investigation into the collision is continuing.
