If we maintain vigilance in our communities to keep the transmission of COVID-19 low, the transmission will also be low in our classrooms.
That from Premier Scott Moe after 3 cases of the novel coronavirus were confirmed recently at 3 Saskatoon schools – St. Joseph and Holy Cross High Schools, and Ecole St. Peter School.
He says there were positive cases in the student age demographic previous to returning to school and that will continue from time to time.
What’s more important, Moe emphasizes, is that Saskatchewan has the testing capacity and the contact tracing capacity to react to these positive cases to ensure being able to control the spread, which he believes this province has done reasonably well.
He adds that with cooler weather and everyone moving back inside, now is the time to review our virtual bubbles.
