It was an unusual move for a presiding judge to make and raised some eyebrows in Regina. On Friday, Justice Graeme Mitchell said the protest and fast in Wascana Park by anti-suicide advocate Tristan Durocher could continue without fear of eviction. Mitchell indicated his decision will be that the bylaws and trespassing notice against Durocher were unconstitutional. Then on Sunday, Mitchell visited Durocher at the site. Justice Minister Don Morgan says it was, interesting. But he felt it would be inappropriate to make any comment on it. He says he will wait until the final judgement is rendered, review it carefully, and then decide on any next steps. Premier Scott Moe is also keeping tight-lipped about the matter. He says his feelings are irrelevant.
