SaskTel says its technicians completed repairs at about 2:00 o’clock Tuesday morning to a damaged fibre cable and restored all SaskTel services in and around the communities of Bladworth, Lanigan, Nokomis, and Viscount. SaskTel indicated Monday night that there were outages affecting at least 20 communities including: Abernethy, Balcarres, Bladworth, Cupar, Dysart, Earl Grey, Fort Qu’Appelle, Lanigan, Lemberg, Lipton, Lumsden, Nokomis, Punnichy, Raymore, Regina Beach, Sask Beach, Semans, Southey, Strasbourg, and Viscount. One of the impacts was accessing 911 and EMS in an emergency.
The network maintenance that impacted SaskTel Internet, Wireless, and Landline Phone services in Brabant Lake, Besnard Lake, Black Lake, Cigar Lake, Collins Bay, David Lake Rapids, English Bay, Fond-du-Lac, Geikie River, Hall Lake, Island Falls, Key Lake, Lac La Ronge, La Ronge, McArthur River, McLennan Lake, Montreal Lake, McClean Lake, Molanosa, McPhee Lake, Missinipe, MacKay Lake, Pinehouse, Ramsay Bay, Sandy Bay, Stanley Mission, Stony Rapids, Sucker Lake, Sucker River, Thunder Hills, Timber Cove, Wadin Bay, Waskesiu Lake, Weyakwin, and Wollaston Lake has been completed. All services were restored as of 6:00 Tuesday morning.
