Two USask researchers are being honoured by the Royal Society of Canada. Irena Creed is a professor in the School of Environment and Sustainability and Associate Vice -President Research. She is only the second woman to receive the Society’s Bancroft Award, honouring outstanding contributions to earth sciences.
Ajay Dalai is the USask Canada Research Chair of Bio-energy and Environmentally friendly Chemical Processing, and distinguished professor in chemical and biological engineering. He has been awarded the Society’s Miroslaw Romanowski medal for outstanding contributions to environmental science.
USask Vice-President Research, Karen Chad says, “These two researcher leaders are making ground-breaking contributions on the global stage to mitigate climate change impacts on water security and developing new clean energy solutions.”
