The deadline to apply for a job working the civic election and the advance polls in Saskatoon is this Sunday.
Returning Officer, Scott Bastian says a new position this year, because of the pandemic, is PPE coordinator.
This person will be responsible for coordinating all the PPE required for each facility and making sure there is enough and it’s all ready for the advance polls and election day on November 9th.
A new recruitment request for this election is to bring on workers who know more than 1 language, because of Saskatoon’s diverse community.
Because of COVID-19, there are some changes at the polling stations, so you will see more sanitization, physical distancing, and plastic barriers but otherwise the process will be the same.
Bastian says you will still show your identification and fill out a registration form, then be directed to a voting booth.
