The Ponoka RCMP has laid charges against 2 men and a woman following a 911 call about kidnapping, assault and robbery on September 7th.
Police say a 22 year old man met a woman from Slave Lake online, and after almost a year they agreed to meet.
He got into a vehicle with her, which was later determined to be stolen, and it’s alleged that he was then assaulted by 2 men, one of whom had a gun.
The 22 year old told police that he was driven to several banks and forced to provide his banking information to withdraw money.
His truck and cell phone were stolen and he was eventually dropped off in Blackfalds, Alberta.
Jared Mcleod, Chasetin Morin and Amber Knickle are now in police custody after warrants were issued for their arrests.
