Three appeals about the constitutionality of the carbon tax from Saskatchewan, Ontario and British Columbia were heard in Canada’s highest court on Tuesday and Wednesday, but we don’t know the result yet. The decision has been reserved after hearing from the provinces’ representatives and intervenors on both sides. There is no time stated yet for when that decision will be released.
Saskatchewan’s Premier Scott Moe wrote a letter to the Prime Minister last week, urging the federal government to pause the carbon tax until the Supreme Court makes a ruling.
