A suspicious package delivered to Vido-InterVac in the 100 block of Veterinary Road on the U of S campus brought out the Saskatoon Police Service’s Explosive Disposal Unit and Saskatoon Fire Hazmat crew around 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. Traffic restrictions were in place on Veterinary Road and the public was being asked to stay away from the area. The Fire Department says their Hazmat teams swept through the building, found the package and determined it wasn’t hazardous. Then a second suspicious package was found inside of a building in the 100 block of Administration Place. It too was found to not be hazardous. It was all over by about 8:40 Tuesday night.
