You may notice campaign signs going up.
Today is the first day the civic election signs and posters can be erected for the November 9th election.
The City of Saskatoon has guidelines for candidates, and during this election because of the pandemic, they include safety protocols.
The City’s website has a guide for candidates which includes recommendations for canvassing during the pandemic and guidelines for events indoors and out.
For instance, gathering size is up the current public health order.
Whether indoors or outdoors, you can have 30 people, but only if there is enough room to physically distance.
Another suggestion is not handing out pamphlets from person to person, and instead if a candidate is canvassing, the information can go in the mailbox ahead of time.
