The residents of Saskatchewan go to the polls in less than a month in the provincial election.
This is Premier Scott Moe’s first election as Premier, and it comes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since he took over as Saskatchewan’s leader, he has also had to confront issues such as the Humboldt Broncos bus crash, and the federal carbon tax.
He says mental health is also a problem being brought up more and more over the last few years, adding more funding is being invested to help with the issue in Saskatchewan.
Premier Moe says the reason he is running is he still wants to ensure this generation can go to school, find a job, and raise a family here in Saskatchewan.
Moe is reaching out to the public to discuss his platform for this year’s election.
This comes during a year with COVID-19 and the economic downturn caused by the pandemic.
He says Saskatchewan residents have a question to ask themselves in this election: Who do they trust in this election recover the economy?
