The provincial NDP says leader Ryan Meili delivered a reality check to Premier Scott Moe earlier this year that the province was in a recession. The party says that Moe’s response was, “The Leader of the Opposition referenced that we were in a recession previous to COVID-19. That’s news to me.” The NDP says that, in hopes of keeping Moe abreast of pertinent issues of running the province, they will be providing a series of short briefings.
On Wednesday, it was about Saskatchewan’s population falling. CJWW news reported on Tuesday that Statistics Canada indicated Saskatchewan’s population declined 937 at the beginning of the third quarter, from the beginning of the second quarter of this year. However, we also reported that it was an increase of 6,379 from the same period a year ago.
